Week of 1/21-1/25
Regular Math- No test this week! You do have a CR that is due Monday, 1/28. We are doing percent proportions, sales tax, tips, and discounts this week. Remember to bring your calculator to class.
Advanced Math - Test on Thursday,1/24 and Study Session on 1/23 from 3:15-4:15.
Chapter 4 Test is on Thursday. Here is a break down of test items:
(1-2) Write each ratio in two different ways.
(3-5) Write each ratio in simplest form.
(6-7) Write two equal ratios for the given ratio.
(8-11) Find the unit rate for each given situation.
(12-13) Find the better buy in each situation. Be sure to show unit price.
(14-15) State whether the ratio pairs form a proportion.
(16-17) Solve the proportions.
(18-24) Write a proportion for the following problems and then solve. (Use words and units of measurement to help you with setting up the proportions)
(25a/25b) Find the Scale Factor
(26-33) Answer the following questions about similar figures using the figure given.
(34) Similar to the problem about Jefferson's dining room from Friday's homework.
Bonus
Study your notes, look over your last quiz, and do online quizzes from your online math book from chapter 4.

Advanced Math Quiz, January 10th
First Quiz of the 3rd nine weeks is this Thursday, January 10th. Here is the Quiz break down of types of problems.

You have your class sheet and homework sheet from Monday, Tuesday's classwork/homework, and Wednesday's Quiz Reviews to help you prepare for this quiz. Study over the sheets and make sure you understand how to do each problem. Bring you calculator to class everyday! You can use it on the quiz.

Advanced Math- Equation/Inequality Test Wednesday
Here is a breakdown of what your Equation/Inequality Unit Test will cover on Wednesday. I put the directions down for each type of problem. Problems 1-26 deal with inequalities and 27-35 deal with equations. You will get your equation quiz back tomorrow. I will call out answers in class. Make sure to ask questions if you do not understand.
Write an inequality for each statement (1-4)
State the numbers that are possible solutions for each inequality (5-6)
Graph the solution of each inequality on the number line provided (7-10)
Write an in equality that represents each graph (11-12)
Solve each inequality. Show you work on both sides! (13-24)
Word Problems- Write and solve an inequality for each problem (25-26)
Solve each equation. Show you work on both sides! (27-33)
Write and solve an equation for each situation. (34-35)

Math Week 12/10-12/14
MESSAGE FOR ALL MATH CLASSES: I cannot believe the 2nd nine weeks and 1st semester is coming to an end. I am so proud of all of you for working so hard on your math studies. I want you to finish strong, so make sure you study hard for this weeks unit test. Advance students test is on Wednesday and Regular on Thursday. You also have your last CR that is due on Monday, 12/17. Please ask for help if you are struggling with the material being covered in class. I am here for you!

Math Week 12/3-12/7
Regular math has a quiz on Tuesday. The quiz covers three ways to write a ratio, write equivalent ratios, plot ratios on a coordinate grid, find unit rate, and best buy. We will do a class review on Monday in class and they will have a quiz review sheet for homework. We will try to get one more test or quiz in before wrapping up the 1st semester. That quiz or test will be on 12/13 or 12/14.
Advanced math has a quiz on Tuesday. We will review in class on Monday and have a quiz review sheet for homework. I will post the answers on Google Classroom. The quiz has 16 problems: 14 problems are one-step equations and 2 problems are word problems. I will be in my classroom at 7:30 am Tuesday if anyone needs an extra study session before taking the quiz. We will start on inequalities on Wednesday. I plan to give the unit test either on 12/12 or 12/13 before wrapping up the 1st semester.

Math Week 10/29-11/2
Advanced Math We will start adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing integers. The next quiz will be on Wednesday, November 7th.
Regular Math You have a Fraction Quiz on Tuesday, October 30th. The quiz will cover adding/subtracting fractions/mixed numbers. We will start multiplying fractions on Wednesday.
